NetAesthetics is a Washington, DC based IT consulting and engineering firm supporting critical national security missions. We are a small business where you work directly with leadership on high-impact programs, not through layers of management.
We are seeking a senior RF SATCOM Engineer who can operate across three roles at once: deep radio frequency and satellite communications expertise, systems engineering judgment across the full life cycle, and the project management discipline to keep a technical effort on schedule and on budget. That combination is rare, which is exactly why this seat exists.

What you'll do
The work itself.
- Design, analyze, and troubleshoot RF and satellite communications systems across the full signal chain
- Perform link budget analysis, spectrum planning, and interference resolution
- Configure, test, and sustain modems, amplifiers, antennas, converters, and baseband equipment
- Own systems engineering from requirements definition through integration, test, and operational acceptance
- Develop test plans and procedures, and verify systems against requirements
- Run the project management side: schedule, risk identification and mitigation, technical reporting, and customer communication
- Serve as the senior technical voice with the government customer and prime contractor teams
- Support technical forums, readiness reviews, and assessments of contractor deliverables
Required qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Lifestyle Polygraph (strict requirement, no exceptions)
- BS in Electrical Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Substantial hands-on RF and satellite communications engineering experience in an operational environment
- Demonstrated link budget analysis and RF troubleshooting capability
- Systems engineering experience across the full development and operational life cycle
- Experience leading or coordinating technical projects, including schedule and risk management
- Strong written and verbal communication with government customers
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with military or government SATCOM systems and waveforms
- PMP or equivalent project management credential
- Security+ or equivalent (DoD 8570/8140 compliance)
- Prior experience as a technical lead or project lead on an IC or DoD program
- Familiarity with test equipment including spectrum analyzers and signal generators
